What is Mandala Art ?

Hey beautiful people,

Today we are going to talk about what is mandala art ?

Technically, Mandala is a Sanskrit word which means circle, a geometric design that represents whole universe. Yes you heard it right. It represents this vast cosmos.
It is guide of self reflection and represents our relationship with infinity which shows everything is interconnected. Sounds good right. It is all about finding peace in symmetry and patterns.

Wait Wait Wait, i will not talk about mandala as there are tons of articles about mandala. Instead , Why don't you take a deep breath with me and look around , do you able to find any symmetry around. Guess Guess...

Able to find it ????

Ok let me help you. Mandala is everywhere , in our culture, in nature and beyond. let's take few  examples :

Nature Example

  • Planets - Solar System
  • Human Eye
  • Snowflakes
  • Fruit cross section
  • Flower Centers
  • Spider Webs
  • Tree Trunk Rings
 Culture Example
  • Celtic Knots
  • Hindu Temples
  • Church windows
  • Buddhist sand paintings
  • Dream Catcher

isn't this a bulb on moment 😲😲

By this time , you must understood what mandala is all about. In different cultures all over the world, people create mandalas and connect there inner self. The brilliant psychoanalyst carl jung believed that the mandala represents oneself and drawing mandala gives a person free space to meet that self. It is an effective form of art therapy, helping to calm and comfort mental health issues.

Thank You !!
